Yamaha has taken the design of these new gold lacquer alto necks from the body of their 1st generation 1979 YAS-62 necks, then added the new style octave key of the Custom V1 necks. These fit all current Yamaha saxophones, but for some vintage, a very slight adapting of the octave key rod is needed.
*****In a recurring, and ongoing phenomena, another sax professional purchased a tenor version of this neck, and 5 days after receiving, bought out our entire tenor retro stock...then later added a few alto neck. And this one of America's Grammy award winning saxophonists. The only comment we can get from them is..."it improves everything!"
