    T
his listing is for a Yamaha YTS-32 tenor
saxophone. The 32 was Yamaha's intermediate level tenor for the European market. As far as I've been able to discern, it is exactly the same as the YTS-52 (the American market intermediate tenor). I'm not sure why the different numbering, but musical instrument companies routinely do that for different markets. The reasoning might well have been as simple as the language in which the care instructions were printed.
Although this is considered a 'intermediate' level instrument, it's quality is on par with the pro level offerings of many other brands. Don't take my word for it though...if you google the brand/model you will find lots of discussion about the excellent quality of this model. By the way, this is also a 'purple logo' version. The purple logo on the bell is indicative of a Yamaha made somewhere from the late 1970's through mid 1980's. This is considered a very good period for Yamaha saxophones. I'm not sure if it is quite as big of a deal for intermediate level horns, but purple logo pro models have really developed a cult following.
This one is in ready to play condition right out of the box! I have just given it a "COA" (clean, oil, and adjust) job, which is much more thorough than most ebay instruments receive. The instrument was fully dis-assembled and thoroughly cleaned, inside and out. This includes washing of the body and neck, wiping down all of the keys, and running pipe cleaners through all of the hinge tubes to remove old, degraded key oil. Then any worn, damaged, or missing pads/corks/felts are replaced. In this case I replaced all of the upper stack and high note pads (10 in total), so it basically got a half-repad job. The remaining pads are still in very good condition. After pad replacement, the mechanisms are re-assembled, and meticulously adjusted so that all pads are sealing properly with a light touch. This instrument plays great from top to bottom, as you can hear in the demo video linked below of the actual instrument being sold.

This sax is in excellent physical condition. The body is perfectly straight, and the neck has not been pulled down. There are no  significant dents or dings.
I found one very minor ping, but that's all.
The lacquer is mostly intact, but there are a few swaths of lacquer wear/acid bleed, as seen in the pictures. It has light scratching consistent with normal use.
There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included with this sax, except for an end plug (not pictured, but I will include one). If you need a mouthpiece, I must say that the one I used on the demo video plays great on this particular horn, and it is available separately for a discounted price of 5 (ask me for details if interested).
This sax comes in a hard shell SKB case. The case is also in overall very good condition. The plastic around one of the exterior bumpers is cracked, and the bumper is pushed in. Other than that, there is no damage. The exterior is scratched and scuffed, but the case is solid, and protects the horn as it should. The inside has normal light wear and tear, but it is clean and odor free.
This is a great horn for beginner to intermediate level players. It would also make a great backup, or double for more advanced players. This model holds its value very well at this level, so if you decide to move up to an intermediate or pro level horn a few years down the road, you will likely be able to recoup most of your investment in this one.
