  • Condition: This 1st generation YAS-62 is in simply gorgeous condition, cosmetically and functionally. The low serial # (6,xxx) dates this most likely 1978-1979 (1980 at the latest), after Yamaha Japan confirmed the oldest documented YAS-62 serial is 14,040 in 1983. Matching purple logo on the neck and body, with beautiful engraved flowers. The lacquer finish is excellent, with only very light signs of use and the few minor surface scratches could be polished. Overall body is excellent with one small ding on the bell lip and wear to the finish on the bottom curve plate, shown in the 6th and 11th photos, pads are clean and keys move smoothly. A standard professional cleaning and maintenance check should be done as a matter of course to ensure the finest playing condition and longevity of this finely crafted instrument. Includes original Yamaha case, neck strap, mouthpiece cover, cork grease and chamois. Also included is an HW padsaver. No mouthpiece included.
