    Description

A Vito brand Alto Saxophone, with mouthpiece, accessories, music, and hard shell case.
Sale includes everything seen in photo 1:
    --Alto Saxophone (photos 2-6).
Bought used by my parents in 1998. Played by my younger brother through middle school into high school, until 2003. Never used since then. Cleaned and tested recently; still plays well.
This is a "Vito" saxophone (see photo 2), serial number 407307 (photo 3). Date of manufacture unknown; guessing 80's to mid 90's. No country of manufacture stamped on the instrument. Internet research suggests that other Vito saxes with 6-digit serial numbers starting with 4 were made in Taiwan.
Has several small dents. Photo 4 shows the largest, on the inside of the lower part. Guessing they're not large enough to affect the sound of the instrument, but I'm no expert.
The pads all look to be in decent shape (see the right side of photo 4 for 3 examples).
Inside of the bell is a little tarnished (photo 5).
Same with the inside of the neck (photo 6).
Numerous light scratches on the surface (photos 2-6).
    --Mouthpiece (photo 7).
Vito II brand, made in France. Plastic and metal. Metal parts are tarnished. Numerous scratches on the plastic. Some tooth wear on the lower side. Functional.
    --Accessories (photo 8), including:
Neotech shoulder strap. Very short. Kid-sized.
Rico brand reed, size V 2 1/2. Used. Chipped. You'll need to buy some new ones.
Bottle of valve oil. About 1/3 full.
Felt swab with brush. Used. Felt is little dirty. String has some knots in it. Functional.
--7 Alto Sax music instruction booklets, plus 1 book of Star Wars [Ep. 4-6] music (photo 9).
From elementary to advanced exercises. Some light instructor's notation inside most of them.
--Hard shell case (photos 1, 10-12).
    Measures approximately 24.5 x 11 x 6.5". Weight (with sax) about 13 pounds.
In fairly bad shape. The inside board is beginning to separate from the top of the case (see photo 1, bottom right corner), so that when lifting by the handle one side is pulled higher than the other (photo 10), causing the clasps to loosen slightly. If you swing it around too much while walking, or set it down and pick it back up frequently without re-tightening the clasps, it could conceivably open. In short, a decent holding case, but not a good traveling case.
Numerous scratches on the outside, some white scrapes (see photo 10 for an example).
Lining is worn away inside the mouthpiece hole; styrofoam filling is showing (photo 11). Styrofoam is not flaking off, however.
One of the bottom metal corner protectors is loose (photo 12). I've pounded the nail back in, but it may loosen again.
