This is a vintage
Universal Lamp Co., carbide lamp
is a must-have collectible for any mining enthusiast.  The headlamp comes with a sturdy rubber grip around the base. This item was found in a very old garage in a farming community of Southern Colorado. This lamp may of been used to work in the local mines, the railroad or the fields repairing tractors, as electricity didn't get here till the 50's.
