Vintage Guy's Dropper Universal Lamp Co. Brass Coal Miner Carbide Lamp Head Light.
It measures 4" high and has a 3" reflector. The lamp is in relatively good vintage condition.  There are surface scratches, small dents and some tarnishing.  The lamp has been in storage for many years - it was from my uncle's estate and he used it in his career as a mining engineer in Alaska.  It is marked with Universal Lamp Company Springfield IL on the bottom.  The striker seems to rotate too freely and although I have not tested the lamp I believe it would need a bit of work to get it in working condition.
