DESCRIPTION
:
Two letters in single sheets;  One dated 1839 and another 1840;  Handwritten in very stylish fountain pen ink;  1839 is embossed at the top left with the barely readable imprint "Bath";  1840 has a post mark for 5 cents stamped in red(must have been special delivery as regular postage in those times was a penny);  Each letter is housed in a stiff clear plastic holder.
CONDITION
:
Letters are both in Very Good+ Condition;  Each is folded into ninths;  Photos show flash at the upper right corner.
FEATURES
:
1840 is a personal letter between Goodwin and Flagg discussing a lost umbrella;  1839 is a letter from Rhodes and another unreadable signature to Flagg discussing a financial arrangement.
