    Description

Vintage CG Conn Elkhart Alto Saxophone Pentagon 1930's 280XXX.
This was found at a local estate. I am not the original owner and do not have any knowledge of this.
I have a lot of photos showing condition it is in.
If you need more I will send them via message.
The number 280xxx would put the horn in 1937-1938.
I do not know if this has been
re-lacquered or not. There are  dents that I can see.
    Selling as is.
Please see photos for additional details.I do not ship internationally.
From a fellow ebayer (David in the UK)helping me out, this is what he had to say…….:
Wow that is a really interesting horn - its a Conn 10m alright but I have NEVER seen engraving like that - I am a Conn fanatic here in the UK but don't worry, I'm not going to ask if you can ship it to me or anything as I have a wicked 10m in the shop right now getting an overhaul - I just thought you would like to know from a dedicated Conn fan that you have something REALLY unusual there - as far as I can see EVERYTHING is correct on it for the year/serial range, meaning it has rolled tone holes, it has the shot-glass octave pip (the 'tea-cup' or 'whiskey-glass' shaped protrusion where the octave key is), it has the correct trapeziod left-hand table, it has the correct bell key guards (to stop it snagging on your trouser cloth) - it even has black rollers on the trapeziod left-hand table and on the two keys opposite the bell join, which marks it again as correct for a VERY narrow time window (and SOME say marks it out as a 'special' horn) - best of luck with sale, and feel free to use any of the above
