  • Condition: Appearance is pretty much what you'd expect from an intermediate/semi-pro level horn that has been played FOR 60 PLUS YEARS & casually handled. Wear is confined mostly to finish rather than structural, although there is a some lacquer loss. Bell rim is slightly 'wavy' possible to straighten out, I would imagine . Has escaped the typical 'Whoops, dropped the horn' drama that brutalizes most of these instruments. At worst, there are a few minor dings here and there rather than crushing bends and serious dents. Cosmetic wear is within limits for the usual instrument contact points. Pads and cork are quite worn but functional. Suggest re-padding to bring out the horn's full potential. . PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION & review pics.

    GREAT
backup axe for the pro doing outdoor gigs. Good performance & keeps your
    'treasure'
away from the harsh environments! This horn seems to have more in common with the same era's Bu*scher Aristocrat -  a highly respected workhorse!

Will probably have to re-cork to match your favorite mouthpiece (typical need for older horns). Suggest re-padding to bring out the horn's full potential. . I play some tenor sax - not really great, mind you - and tested the horn with a borrowed mouthpiece. Got all the notes, top to bottom - LOTS OF PUNCH!
If I can, you can! Again - new pads would work miracles here!
