Vintage 1920s Miner's Helmet With Guy's Dropper Miner's Lamp
This is a great vintage adult size miner's helmet with lamp dating to the 1920s.
Helmet is a plastic-type material.
I'm not sure of the maker of the helmet as I cannot find any maker's marks or labeling.
The webbing on the inside of the helmet is damaged due to age.
Helmet is in really great condition for it's age and has no cracks or breaks.
Guy's Dropper Lantern looks to be made out of brass.
This model of lamp was made by the Shanklin Mfg. Co. of Springfield, Illinois, as engraved on the bottom.
Lantern has some corrosion, patina and what looks like a small crack.
The lamp lifts out of the holder on the helmet very easily so it may be removed prior to shipping and packed separately in the same box.

This is a great collector item...obviously not suitable for mining today.
CONDITION:
This vintage miner's helmet with Guy's Dropper Lantern is in vintage used condition.  There are wear marks, scuffs, scratches, patina, etc. consistent with a used item of this age
(please see pictures for more details).  I'd say the helmet is in really great shape, though, for an item that's nearly 100 years old!
