    Description

    A 1 page autograph letter signed, on the letterhead of the Anglo-Californian Bank, Ltd., San Francisco, dated Feb 8, 1897.  Approximately 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" in size.  The San Francisco branch of this bank was incorporated in 1873 by English and California interests for the purpose of doing a local commercial and foreign exchange business.  The bank was eminently successful and over the course of its career shipped immense quantities of gold bullion to China and India, and other foreign countries.  This letter was addressed to the Bullion & Exchange Bank, Carson (Carson City, Nevada).
    The Anglo-Californian bank was headquartered in London.
