1974 SML "King Marigaux"
Soprano Saxophone - made in France
.
This saxophone was produced by famous saxophone maker “SML” in France for the King Instrument Company of Cleveland, Ohio.
SML was one of the finest saxophone producers in the world and their saxophones are very special instruments. They did not produce very large numbers of saxophones, thus they are quite rare and hard to find.
This soprano is a wonderful example of SML craftsmanship and is in very nice condition. The sax has some minor lacquer wear and scratches throughout the body but overall it is in very nice shape.
The pads are an older set but are still in good condition, please see the photos. This sax has been in storage for several years, I would recommend the sax receive a full adjustment and regulation by a sax technician before active playing.
Sax includes its original SML mouthpiece! With France cap and ligature!
Also includes the original hard shell King soprano case which is in nice condition.
This is a very nice French soprano! The new owner will have a very special sax!
