This alto saxophone will need a repad/overhaul/restoration to be playable and has the potential to be an amazing player. There are no current major dents present and several minor dings can be removed during the repad/overhaul/restoration. This alto sax has scratches throughout from normal use and has almost no lacquer on the body or keys.

    Description

    Up for auction is a vintage professional 1960 Selmer Paris Mark VI alto saxophone. Most of the keys move freely(several are sluggish), all keys, rods, screws, guards appear to be present and most of the pads/corks are missing. This alto saxophone will need a repad/overhaul/restoration to be playable and has the potential to be an amazing player. There are no current major dents present and several minor dings can be removed during the repad/overhaul/restoration. This alto sax has scratches throughout from normal use and has almost no lacquer on the body or keys. The body and neck have different serial numbers(body s/n is in the upper 89,xxx range and the neck s/n is in the upper 114,xxx range). Included is a Selmer wood shell alto sax case(exterior has signs of wear, interior is intact and smells musty, latches work as intended and both handles are intact). A vintage wood "Selmer" style end plug is included. No mouthpiece is included.
