Description
Vintage 3.5x5.5-inch photo post card was likely issued during the early 1900s, and it has a satin/matte finish. This is a vintage, original, post card, NOT a copy or reproduction. It pictures a street scene of SAN FRANCISCO, California -- showing the aftermath of the great fire. The card depicts the scene on Market and Powell streets. This is a used card which has writing, plus a stamp and postmark on the back. OVERALL CONDITION: Solid VG ..... The postcard has some residue from a postmark stamp on the front, a light crease on the left side, mild edge/corner wear, plus a bit of general soiling. However, these flaws are not very distracting, and otherwise, the card is in pretty nice shape. See the front and back images for more detail on the condition. .............................. PLEASE NOTE: We are not postcard collections and we know nothing about grading standards used in the hobby. All cards are graded using a common sense condition guideline -- from poor to near mint. The condition grades we use do NOT relate to any specific grading systems for postcards. ************************************************************************ Also NOTE: Our scanner sometimes makes certain post card images look grainy -- I believe this is caused by the dot pattern in which early cards were printed. On the images in which this occurs -- and you can probably tell by the image -- the clarity of the cards will be better in real life. The scanner also sometimes changes colors slightly, and may even crop the outer edges of image -- but we have tried to not any serious flaws in the description.
