    Description

McDonald Aluminum T-Standard Miner Logger Hard Hat, Painted Neon Orange, Plus Bonus Item : Logging Cutting Card dated 9/18/01.
A logging cutting card is a sheet of paper that tells a logger what trees to cut in a particular section (designated, named square mile). It lists types of trees, tree sizes, diameter of logs to cut, size of saw to use, length of logs and more.
    Adjustable for hat sized 6.5 - 7.25.
It was painted neon orange for visibility in a hazardous workplace.
I found this hard hat several years ago when I was hunting for chanterelle mushrooms in the woods near Astoria, Oregon. The laminated logger card was inside the hat. Two of the liner fastenings had broken, so the hat was probably discarded.
This kind of hard hat was known as a Tin Hat to loggers in the 20th Century in the Pacific Northwest and would be a nice decoration for a Man Cave.
