From my experiences this smell goes away fairly quickly and it is possible that by the time you purchase this glove the smoke smell will be gone ! I have a Louisville FP203H Women’s 33” Fully Broken In Softball Catchers Mitt in excellent condition ! This glove is for the RIGHT handed thrower as the glove fits on the LEFT hand ! These mitts are usually very tough and hard to use ! This particular mitt is soft and comfortable, it is fully broken in, well padded and it is flexible and very easy to use ! In my opinion the glove can be used by a women or by a grown girl ! The mitt will work well for high velocity pitching ! So If your pitchers are throwing at a high velocity this mitt will handle the heat with ease ! The glove also has an incredible pocket as you can clearly see in the photos ! So once the ball enters the pocket of this glove it will not pop out ! Check out the 4th and the 5th photos how the glove just wraps itself around a full size 12 inch round softball and the 6th photo how the glove looks in the closed position without a ball in the pocket while the 7th photo shows how the glove can cradle 2 full size 12 inch round softballs at one time ! The inner lining is in excellent condition and the glove is extremely comfortable to the hand and the fingers all the way up through the finger stalls ! As far as fitting goes, the glove is a comfortable fit on my average adult size hand ! So there is a little bit of hand room and it’s not super tight ! The glove does Velcro wrist strap that everyone seems to like ! There is no ink or marker anywhere on the glove that I can see !
