  • Condition: Nice vintage instrument, All keys function, all pads intact and show darkening, Serial Number B7032 circa early 60's. Neck cork in good condition, sanitized Bundy Mouthpiece in good used condition. Horn body is nice---dark gold lacquer is OK for its age--cosmetic-- scratches, finish wear and dings consistent with use and age, drop dent at bottom of bow--see picture. Horn has a sluggish key indicating need for cleaning/oil. Octave neck post needs replaced. Horn sounds nice and has good tone. It will not be in playing condition until the instrument adjusted by a technician and any repairs or defective pads replaced or adjusted. Comes with a neck strap, marching lyre, new reed, reed protector, New Microfiber Polish Cloth, and a nice wood frame case--good inside and exterior.     This one has the letter 'B' indicating it is most likely made in the early 1960's, however there is no serial number list available on the web to confirm. One found on worthpoint web page with serial B4685 serial claiming to be from late 1950's
    We do our best to describe the condition and other than playing a few notes on the instrument, cannot give expert opinion for how well the instrument will play or whether it is needs adjustment.
