    Description

    1970's Keilwerth Toneking soprano saxophone, s/n 74396. This saxophone is in excellent condition for its age, and has approximately 98% original lacquer remaining. My tech just serviced the horn prior to sale, replacing 1 pad and 4 key corks. The rest of the pads are older in age, but sealing very well. There is a neck strap ring soldered to the top of the right hand thumb rest, which is a nice upgrade since this horn didn't originally come with a neck strap ring.
    This is really an interesting horn to play, as the way it plays is such a departure from modern horns. There's a distinct warmness to the sound that is very pleasing. If you struggle on soprano with bright/harsh tones, this would be a very interesting option to consider.
