    Description

    The Jamaica 5,000 Dollars banknote was issued by the Bank of Jamaica in 2010. It is brown, yellow, purple, and green in color and measures 145 x 68 mm. The obverse side features Prime Minister Hugh Lawson Shearer, a Jamaican nightingale (minus polyglotto) bird, a frangipani flower blossoms, and the coat of arms. The banknote's reverse also depicts frangipani flower (plumeria rubra) blossoms and Highway 2000. This paper bill bears two security threads, one is solid, and the other is Optiks. The watermark shows Hugh Lawson Shearer, electrotype 5000, and Cornerstones. The paper bill was printed by De La Rue and signed by Governor Brian Wynter. This particular Jamaica 5,000 Dollars banknote is in uncirculated condition.
