Fascinating piece of old west history, Sticking Tommy candle holders were pounded into crevices/timbers to light the way in old mines. The hook on the side was used to attach to a hat for an early version of a headlamp.   This is a useful, handmade piece that will be a terrific addition to your antique mining collection or your rustic home decor.  It features a brass tag which reads Best and Belcher Mining Co Virginia City Nev.   It measures just over 10" long and 2 1/2" high.   This is a reproduction piece modeled after a vintage counterpart, so expect to find pitted metal, rust and minor imperfections.
