The SPMT system from Scheuerle has revolutionized heavy haulage. Nowadays all global acting heavy transport companies use this kind of equipment. Over the years Scheuerle has consequently updated and developed the SPMT. Currently up to 60 tons per axle line are possible and load of 15.000 tons and more don't present a problem. The combination possibilities are endless, SPMT can be coupled in lengh and parallel. In some cases where additional side stability and payload are needed but width limit prohibit the use of double wide parallel coupling, the split modules can be used. The split consists of two halves of an SPMT module. Bolted together they can be used as any other regular module, and using the halves in parallel coupling gives a 1.5 wide SPMT.
