1966 U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS MAP
Vintage maps are a historical touchstone to the past.  Where they obviously chart our way to where we've been before, they less obviously connect us to emotions from that past, to a time that no longer exists, but affects us still. What those times left us with, the good and the bad, are lifted from the fog of memory by documents such as maps.
Anyone planning a trip to Saigon can contact me about finding a cold beer in a dark bar. No map needed to find that.

These Pictomaps were supplemental to the regular topo maps, only showing much more detail, in a much larger format.... so much so that they had to be divided into two sheets. One Pictomap for the northern portion of the standard topo, and one Pictomap  for the southern half.
