GPK Premium Gold Refining Flux 5 lbs

Description

GPK Company's own special mix (no cupelling necessary), consisting of 4 main ingredients: Sodium Tetraborate (Anhydrous Borax), Sodium Carbonate (Soda Ash), Manganese Dioxide and Silica Sand. This flux is especially good for melting Karat or pure gold and delivers a beautiful, shiny finish to your gold without sticking. Developed by GPK Company, LLC, for our gold processing kilns. Excellent for smelting ore concentrates and melting precious metals in all GPK Kwik Kilns®, along with other kilns. Non-sticky, usually needs no thinning.
Flux is weighed into doubled 4 mil bags for shipping.
Please note: Premium Gold Flux will treat other precious metals such as silver or copper as impurities and will tend to pull them out, leaving only your gold. If you prefer to retain all precious metals in your concentrates, use our white Melting Flux, which has no manganese dioxide. You will then end up with an amalgam of your precious metals, meaning, whatever silver or copper there is will be mixed in with the gold.
