The artist has provided a wonderful lithographic illustration of cute post-Victorian era Dutch children dressed in their native country's period attire. The girl is playing a flute while the boy is playing a drum. Give yourself a treat and supersize image 1 so you can better see the detail. Notice the shiny gold gilding that has been used to highlight the figures. The artistry is exceptional, and the colors are still vivid. Printed in pre-WWI Germany, and published by Barton & Spooner, this beautiful gel card has not been postally used and has handwriting on the divided back. Expected light soiling with slight corner blunting.  A bit of surface and edge wear.  No rips or stains.  A short, very light vertical surface crease at the top edge.  Clear image and vivid colors.  Nice condition for a 100 year-old paper antique!
