    Autograph letter signed in ink, D.S. Kellogg, Aug. 30, 189[0?], Plattsburgh, NY, 3 1/2pp octavo, to M. M. F. Barnes, Chimney Point, Vermont.

    Location of Champlain's battle at Ticonderoga & more.  "It seems to some that Crown Point answers equally well to Champlain's description.  I presume you are aware that there was an Indian settlement on the west shore of the Point...It would give me great pleasure to show you my collections of Indian relics - upwards of 15000 in number besides pottery....I have many relics of wars of 1812 & 1775 - also a few of the last French & Indian War.  Among the last is a power horn with the following, "Horn Made at Crown Point, Novr, 3rd, 1762..."
