    Description

    This is a nice, original invoice to Thomas Nichol from The Bentwood School Furniture Company proprietor Charles J. Higgins. The Bentwood School Furniture Company was based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Dated May 2, 1872.  Original illustrative artwork at head of invoice.
    Mr. Nichol was a businessman in agricultural machinery and later in life he was involved in the transition to the presidency for President James Garfield as well as becoming a Judge.
    Measures 8.5" x 7" and includes original envelope.
    Letter has folds from mailing and is in good condition overall, envelope has opening tear that is shown in photos.
