Description
VINTAGEDAVE GUARDALA "HANDMADE" TENOR SAXOPHONE MOUTHPIECE
D.G. initials on the Shank THREE DIGIT Serial: 973
MODEL: SAG (or quite possibly these three letters are the original owner's initials engraved by Dave Guardala).
Facing: .108 (Comparable to an Otto Link 7* and a Florida Otto Link (7 - 7*)
Copy of Brian Powell's Professional Write-Up included with the photos. Check out Brian's note as to the slight tweaking he performed.
Please review the photos and you will see that this Vintage Guardala Handmade mpc is in Very Good Original condition.
And, the photos show a nice view of the Baffle. This Guardala has the Step Baffle.
The Original "
Pink
" Epoxy Bite plate displays nicely; there are a few tiny dots, but I believe these dots occurred when Dave poured the epoxy. (See Photos).
There is a metal Plug in the very top of this mpc, for it may have had a pickup years ago, but was plugged some time ago as well. I had Brian Powell take at look at the chamber where the plug ends and he shared that there was no obstruction at all with the plug that closed the hole.
The serial number 973 and the three initials SAG are very faint, and I used a 10x Jewelers loupe to determine both.
Any questions let me know and thanks for taking a look
