Conn Shooting Star Alto Saxophone Outfit ca. 1970

Offered is a used Conn Shooting Star alto saxophone outfit. The serial number is N112927 which I think dates the instrument to 1970. There is no counting the number of students that started in music on these instruments. The instrument does play and the pads look very good. I see one post that has been re-soldered and notice the dent in the bottom bow (pictured). This could be removed by a qualified repair technician. As far as I can tell it does not affect the playing. The lacquer is in good condition for its’ age. The cork on the neck is slightly chipped right at the edge. It comes in the original case which is in good condition. The latches and handle are good and the interior looks really good. It has a plastic mouthpiece and metal ligature which I don’t believe are original or even very good quality. I think this would make someone a nice instrument for learning to play. I always recommend a good regulation by a qualified tech. Good luck and bid often.
