Leather Bound Volume
116 Telegramms Sent To Or From BERLIN
"Telegraphie Deutschen Reiches"
December 29th, 1891
Leather bound volume of 116 telegrams. At first I believed these telegrams were mailed from Berlin to various places either local or worldwide. Now I believe they were sent either locally or worldwide to persons
living
in Berlin. The telegrams all appear to have been transmitted on the one day: December 29th, 1891...two days before New Years Eve.
This volume belonged to a man who collected Judaic ephemera and philately. I would suspect that some of the content in these telegrams is related to Jews living in Berlin. The covers are still holding but the leather spine is deteriorated. Beautiful gold and black endpapers.
Wish I could show you more content. There's a lot of interesting material in here. Most all telegrams are affixed with telegraph stamps - but they were used as seals on folded telegrams. So they are mostly split in two parts on either end of each telegram as seen.
Bound Volume Measures 7.75" x 10" x 1" Thick
Condition: As Seen. Please Examine Photos.
