Offered here is an unused Columbian World’s Fair postcard featuring the US Battleship Illinois. Originally part of a 12 card set, this official 1893 Chicago World's Columbian Exposition postal card that include the one cent postage. These are the first commercially produced postcards to be sold to the general public at the Fair. The fairgrounds were not opened to the public until May 1, 1893.
