Antique or vintage small metal gold panning pan found in the Mother Lode Gold Rush area of California (the Southern Mines).
It's a small pan, measuring 6-1/4" wide by 1-1/4" tall. The metal is very thick, strong, and sturdy. No dents, cracks, or breaks. It has rust on it, as shown, that makes for a great patina or you can tidy it up if you'd like.
I found this last year while prospecting along the North Fork of the Tuolumne River in Tuolumne County, California.
