    Description

    I am unsure of the exact date range but would assume late 1800s to early 1900s. This is a child's size helmet (5 3/4' x 6 1/2") inside diameter. This item originated in the coal fields of Kentucky. This from the days before child labor laws. When the young boys went into the coal mines with their fathers. The time when the whole town worked in the mines or the stores that the mines owned. A great piece of history in nice condition considering age. Has typical wear and damage from age and use.
