It's brass; a golden color. some of the photos are in different light. It' kind of fun not having a brand name on it. It certainly doesn't effect the nice quality of sound.

    Description

    Hardly a scratch on it. One small dent hardly noticeable unless you know it's there and point it out like I have done. Plays and sounds great. Brand new  Rico #5 mouthpiece with new ligature. Padded neck strap included. Fun to play.
