    1961 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 94392. Here's a gorgeous Mark VI that just received a full mechanical overhaul from Aaron Barnard. Aaron fitted the sax with Pisoni Pro pads and plastic resonators, similar to what the horn originally had when it left the factory. Aaron's work is top notch, and this horn is probably playing better than it did the day it left the factory.
    Cosmetically, the horn is in great shape. The neck is original to the horn with a matching serial number. It's never been pulled down. The bell flare looks great. Aaron removed a couple of small dings mainly in the bow, but the sax looks well cared for considering it turns 60 years old this year. There are no resoldered key guards.
    9x,xxx Mark VI tenors are fantastic horns. Many greats including Chris Potter play tenors from the 9x,xxx vintage. The 9x,xxx series is similar to the 8x,xxx horns with a gorgeous dark core and a bit more punch and projection. This one
    has a captivating dark tone color with wonderful projection when you want to push it. This is a really fun horn to play.
