1991 SELMER Bundy ll Tenor Sax with Custom Turquoise/Metallic Neck & Case. Sax Serial #1115452.
From Adams Serial Number list for Bundy, I figured at 30,000 tenors/year, #1115452 landed at 1991. Definitely early 90's. This sax has been cleaned and *adjusted, and plays great with a smooth, even tone on the included Selmer Goldentone 3 mouthpiece. Pads are in very good condition with corking and felts replaced where needed. Springs show quick response. Cosmetically, there is one small mild dent on the left edge of the bow guard (pic #10), scratches and scuffing mainly on the bottom left side of the bow and next to the serial number (pic #10), several random small dings, and the keys and key guards show a little wear. The neck was an eye sore, so, being an artist/saxophonist, I came up with a pretty cool look for it. It's been primed and painted a color-shift turquoise/metallic that, I think, looks great with the turquoise accents on the octave key and key guards. I masked some of the brass areas for contrast and then clear coated the neck. I hope you like it too. The case is not original but is almost new and sturdy. It's been cleaned and has no smells. Included with the case are a new microfiber polishing cloth, a Protec neckstrap, cork grease, a new black plastic end cap, a black plastic double reed clip w/2 extra standard cane reeds, and the Selmer Goldentone 3 mouthpiece w/ligature, vintage France silver cap, and new Rico Plasticover reed.
