'75 BUESCHER Aristocrat (Selmer Series lV) Alto Sax w/Original Case - Both in Very Good Condition. Serial #645833.
This alto has been cleaned and adjusted, and plays very good from top to bottom. Pads, felts, and corking have been replaced where needed and the existing pads range from good to very good. The springs show quick response. Cosmetically, there are plenty of scuffs and scratches (see pictures), but no major dents, just a few mild dings and one obvious one on the neck (pic #9). I was amazed to see hardly a scuff or scratch on the back of the horn (pic #6); there's usually plenty around the neckstrap eyelet. There is, however, a little lacquer wear around the top of the lower back tone hole. Nothing to interfere with playing performance. The keys overall are in great shape with the bell keys and the lower back key showing some wear. The tone has a smooth, sweet sound on the included Armstrong "Special" mouthpiece. Also included in this Aristocrat package is the original case that still looks great (some wear on the corners), a new microfiber polishing cloth, a new neckstrap, a black plastic octave key protector cap, and the Armstrong "Special" mouthpiece w/ligature, cap, and Rico Plasticover reed.
