Description
This is a 1965 H&A Selmer Bundy alto saxophone, manufactured right after Selmer bought out Buescher. The saxes from this era are well-made vintage horns, and some consider them a ‘bargain Aristocrat’. This sax has been completely overhauled. I repadded it with a full set of Music Medic pads with Selmer style resonators. I disassembled it, cleaned it, leveled the pad cups and tone holes, and re-lubed all the keys. All corks were replaced, including the neck, all felts are new, and it has been fully adjusted and regulated to play great. The lacquer was in rough shape so while overhauling it I stripped it to bare brass and polished it. It has some
very small dings and a couple of scratches, and one post and a key guard foot have been resoldered. Other than that it’s in great shape for a horn this age, as you can see from the photos. The bare brass looks great against the nickel keys.
This is
a terrific horn for a beginner or an established player who just wants a great playing alto. There is no case or mouthpiece, only the sax and neck.
This sax plays great from top to bottom, with a nice edge and tone, and good intonation. If you have any questions please ask.
