Up for auction is a 1936 Conn 6M “Naked Lady” alto saxophone serial number M272xxx. This instrument is from the third production year of this model. Many consider this to be the “golden age” of Conn saxes. It has just been serviced by the Nazareth Music Center (Nazareth, Pennsylvania) and is ready to play. The tone of this sax is the robust “American” sound for which Conn’s were known. While it doesn’t look perfect, the instrument plays great and the mechanism is solid. The sax comes in a soft gig bag.
