This listing is for the lot of letters, dated 1890, from daugther who married an italian in  Milano Italy, Montecarlo Letters Home - La Scala, Exposition Art more Handwritten letters filled with interesting content and descriptions. They were sent by daughter "Jen" to her mother Mrs. Charles B. Childe in Wyoming, Ohio. Jen was married to Ricardo Banfi.
Included are:
(2) letters 1883-85 Cleveland, one each from Jen and Ricardo.
(5) letters1889-91 from Milano, Milan and one Montecarlo, from Jen. Content,
a few excerpts: Montecarlo (1) 5pp letter - At the "seat of the famous gambling place and like the Eden of old it leads to hell and destruction." Gardens. "There are positively nothing but hotels and eating houses." more Milano (4) letters, 35pp total - In small part, "Since I wrote last I have witnessed the great Carnival in Milano & the great theater La Scala." Mentions the "electric lights", "superbly costumed", seeing the stage; plus, stereographic show on the Exposition in Paris; good descriptions art, statuary, food, people and much more.
Legible ink on onionskin paper.
