    December 1866 New York City Letter from (nephew) Jos. A. Doling of New York City to uncle.  Letter regards the fires in the city (Academy of Music burned), wealthy businessman (Stuart), the prices of food, hard temptations to resist in the city, etc.
    Period manuscript writing on four pages.  Approximate letter size is 7-3/4" x 9-3/4".  Condition:  soiling, staining, fold lines, edge wear and edge tears.  Please see photos for additional condition review.  Questions welcome!
