    SEPTEMBER 9, 1848 LETTER FOLDED AND ADDRESSED
    This is a stampless letter from the 19th century. It is in very good condition and is postmarked "HARRISBURG, PA".
    Has a "PAID 5" postal marking in right hand corner.
    It is addressed to Warren W. Hughes, ESQ of Pottsville, PA. (Home to Yuengling Brewing Company).
    There was a wax seal at one time, but it must have been removed when the letter was opened. Some residue remains.
