1847 original letter written by Silas Riddle to father Isaac requesting money to pay
his board for school in Boston. He also is asking for money to give to his brother Isaac who has moved to a new house.
He does mention he received a letter from sister Ann (she died only 3 years later in 1850).
One page letter in VG condition. Boston cancel.
The Riddle family was very well known in the Manchester + Bedford New Hampshire area
for many years.
Boston July 25 1847
Dear Father
My board becomes due next Saturday and I wish you to send me () the money before that time. Isaac is going to move to another house where he has to pay -1/2 per week and wish you to remit me that after this month. I enclose you a letter from Ann which came to hand this morning. Your aff son Silas A. Riddle.
